{"id":170,"date":"2017-09-11T12:19:47","date_gmt":"2017-09-11T10:19:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.go-fair.org\/?page_id=170"},"modified":"2022-06-15T15:33:35","modified_gmt":"2022-06-15T13:33:35","slug":"governance","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.go-fair.org\/go-fair-initiative\/governance\/","title":{"rendered":"Governance"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The GO FAIR governance structure is determined by the expressed needs of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.go-fair.org\/implementation-networks\/\">GO FAIR Implementation Networks (IN)<\/a> and the participating National Support Offices (NSO). The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.go-fair.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/GO-FAIR-Governance-2022-.pdf\">current governance structure<\/a>, which was put in place in 2022, has been developed in 2021 by the Executive Board in cooperation with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.go-fair.org\/go-fair-initiative\/\">GO FAIR International Support and Coordination Office (GFISCO)<\/a> and by the NSO. It consists of two governance bodies:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.go-fair.org\/go-fair-initiative\/governance\/stakeholder-forum\/\" rel=\"noopener\">Stakeholder Forum<\/a> (SF)<\/li>\n<li>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.go-fair.org\/go-fair-initiative\/governance\/board\/\" rel=\"noopener\">Executive Board<\/a> (EB)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>which are supported by the distributed GFISCO and the National Support Offices.<\/p>\n<p><strong>How are the governance bodies constituted?<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Stakeholder Forum consists of the IN coordinators.<\/li>\n<li>The members of the Executive Board are nominated and (s)elected by the Stakeholder Forum. Additionally, two EB members are nominated by the Board of Directors of the NSO.
